Many great artists have suffered from writers block or the condition of being unable to think of what to write or how to proceed with writing. I’ve put together the top 3 ailments that’s killing your writing dream.
Scheduling: It’s never the right time to write or you don’t know how to start.
Anxiety: Many writers are just scared of being critiqued or rejected.
Meticulousness: Nothing you write is good enough.
At www.uluvmystyle.com we want to help you avoid the void of writer's block by using some simple tips and concepts for all writers. Rather you are spitting bars or writing romance novels we all get intellectually stuck. I’ve been writing for blogs, people, and businesses for over 15 years now and I want to share some things I learned in hopes you get that final draft to your next great masterpiece.
Many will tell you there are many different types of writer’s block and there are. However what they all have in common is the very thing we need… wait for it.. Wait for it.. Ideas! The only way to overcome writers block is by writing what you know. We first need a foundation formed by strong ideas to build anything including a story. Before we build we must eat.
Today I am going to share with you my bowl of soup. No this isn’t Campbell’s or Progresso it’s a word soup! From here we can build a foundation to describe great things on any level. Once we have the foundation we can began on the details. The details are very important if not more than then the foundation. But without a strong foundation you won’t have anything to build upon. So getting back to the details. It’s not what you say, but how you say it! It’s all in the delivery if you’re rapping or the dialogue if you’re writing.
So now you built a great foundation on fresh and strong ideas with a healthy heaping of the writing soup. Now you’re polishing up on the details or delivery. You need to add the seasoning and make this soup unforgettable with refinement or editing. At this point return to your work and make sure nothing is in the soup we don’t need or want and get it out the soup. With a final edit the soup should be ready to be served to the hungry as your work. Stay focused, keep only your best and serve it up like no tomorrow to every hungry ear!
